They shall attain knowledge on how to use the library and know the services available. All the students of the concerned classes are requested to attend positively failing of which may lead to non-issuance of Library Card and will not avail library services. SAHITYA AKADEMI and Department of Manipuri, Janata College, Kabuganj, Cachar-788121 Organised a Symposium on Manipuri Oral Poetry: Performance and Aesthetics on Saturday, 4th November 2017 at 11.00 am in Hall No.4, Janata College Kabuganj The Regional Office of the Sahitya Akademi, Kolkata, in association with the Department of Manipuri, Janata College Kabuganj, Cachar organised a Symposium on “ Manipuri Oral Poetry: Performance and Aesthetics” on Saturday 4 November, 2017. In the Inaugural session, Shri Gautam Paul, Officer-in-charge, Sahitya Akademi Regional Centre Kolkata delivered the welcome address and shared his views on the rich culture of Manipuri poetry. He also appreciated the department for organizing such a symposium in this rural college other than University and G. C. College which is in the heart of the town.
